Senator Adams spoke in opposition to the
funding level for the Department of

not provide for safety. He noted that there
would be 42 vacant officer positions. He
expressed support for additional funding

 Representative Grussendorf observed that $600
thousand dollars in federal funds would be

asked that a supplemental be considered.

Senator Pearce noted that she was not willing
to support a request for a supplemental. She
noted that the Department has lapsed funding
